Provide a constant source of protein for the children of Institut Edeline in Beudet, Haiti. Thanks to you we have raised the funds to build the coop and buy the hens! Now help us meet our goal of $1,530 to operate it for a year!
The students of Institut Edeline are provided with two meals a day, often their only meals of the day. Most meals in Haiti are composed of simple carbohydrates only. Because of this, many of the students are underweight, malnourished, and tired all the time, making it difficult for them to stay awake in class.
With your help, egg-laying hens will be provided to these students. Each hen can provide approximately 360 eggs a year, for an average of three years. By introducing a source of protein like eggs to their diet, these kids can get back on track to good health and the ability to further their education.
You can help. Just $12 provides an egg laying hen to Haitian schoolchildren.
