Help provide hungry Haitan students with adequate food!

In 2010 a terrible earthquake rocked the nation of Haiti; 220,000 people were killed and more than 300,000 people were injured. Many children lost their parents in the disaster and have to live in temporary homes that are overcrowded and understaffed. Many of these children do not have secure access to food and have to rely on their schools to receive the only meals they get for the week.

To assist in this situation, Institut Edeline strives to feed 135 children and 12 teachers two healthy meals a day. However, this has become a challenge. The current kitchen at Institut Edeline is in a very small storage closet, without adequate ventilation. Charcoal is used for fuel and the smoke is inhaled by cooks and the children because it blows into classrooms. This results in an unhealthy environment and inefficient system to cook the food.

You can help. With your donations a new kitchen with proper features will let us feed the students at Institut Edeline safely and soundly. This will ensure a better education and quality of life for many children with nowhere else to turn.

Institut Edeline's primary mission is to help transform a small community in Haiti by providing an education, clean water and food to the children of Beudet, Haiti. Institut Edeline is a K- 6th grade elementary school established to provide education to children in need with the intent of sending these children into healthy professions to restore economic stability in the region. The school is funded by sponsors from Project Edeline with the goal of achieving sustainable sponsorship.
