Royal Handiworks has been a source of gorgeously handmade items for over 15 years, proudly supporting nearly 400 artisans in Thaiba, Lalitpur Nepal. Many of the artisans have been using their skills since childhood and early adulthood, learning from family members and others within the community to create these intricately made items. Fabric scraps are recycled or transformed into other Royal Handicraft items, like the patchwork bags and jackets. Economical and environmentally friendly!
By supporting Royal Handiworks, you are providing opportunities for the artisans and their families -- enabling them to pay for food, clothing, a good education, and other basic expenses. A powerful impact with every purchase.
I just received this the other day and wore it yesterday. I love it! It was warm and comfy. And the pockers are just perfect.
I'm glad I ordered larger than normal, it fits fine. It's much more light weight than I expected, it looks heavier in the photo. I'm still going to need something warmer for cold days. Pretty, though.
As I got on here to write my review, I noticed some of my thoughts in other reviews - probably good I didn't see those before buying! My first reaction was mixed: the colors are gorgeous and the fabric is so soft, but the outside button came off the moment I opened it to try on. The cut is really nice through the body, but as it was mentioned, the sleeves are too narrow to push up, a pain when washing hands or dishes. It is not as heavy or warm as I expected, and the fuzz is already pilling on this the first day of wear, so I am not hopeful for a long-wearing garment. I do love buying from Greater Good and I do love the look and feel of the wrap and plan to wear it a lot!
